And more carrom...

So day 2 of the competitions just ended, and team singapore was very happy with their results.

I think my striker was tired too, but i drew a smiley face on top of it, so when i shoot theres a smiley face everywhere =P

Results: ( for sets) - one set has 5 matches and 1 match has 5 games...
Win: 2
Loss: 2

I was defeated right at the start, super off-form and was nearly dropped from the team. Haha. Well we got pwned by hall 6 4-1 and they were expecting us to win our match ( aiyah actually they expect me to win everything de ) So sorry, but i didnt know what happen also. No luck maybe, but i was seriously very NoOb.

Then second and third game was normal, i think they chased away the evil spirit inside me after the scolding ( not really scolding, just that i think they were quite upset). I won both games 5-0 =) Last game was against hall 3, the ultimate hall who didnt suffer any defeats at all right from the start, and the male double pair didnt lose a single game at all.

But i made them pee in their pants after getting 2 straight wins from the start. My partner, the same one as yesterday, ended the game for the first time. He said it was luck, but i believe there were some skills involved. Then they got stunned, but decide to continue instead of going for a break. Then history nearly repeated itself, but i ended game this time and they called for time-out. I think they went to the toilet to change their pampers and came back fresh. Haha. Then lose a game, drew one and lose again. So overall score was a tie for my match. Im still happy with that results.

Overall our hall ranked 4th on the table, i got first for most number of seeds converted ( which means scored ). Won a carrom board. Haha.

Well this game was quite an eye-opener for me, though we didnt get a medal, but its okay. Next year the team will still be the same so we must improve. In the mean time, all the hall 3 players will be graduating =P Our carrom captain won all male's single matches, powerful!

For those that asked why i need to go for training, read this.
There is no communication when the game is being played, and you cant tell your partner what to hit. ( But so many people swear after missing and they didnt care) So you must know the right tactics, of how to defence or how to set up for your partner to defence. One wrong move and the game might be lost, and it happened around 5 times throughout the whole competition. So actually its not a brainless game, but relatively brainless.
* I got foul points for smsing deborah in the first few games yesterday!! *

Carrom is over, chinese chess up next...
